May Favorites ♥ Beauty & Random

I’m a bit late with this post, and I blame it on family parties and gatherings…birthdays and my brother’s graduation brunch took up a lot of time but were so much fun! ^__^ Lots of talking and yummy food never hurts! I did, however, upload my May Favorites video on time. Anyways, I can’t believe it’s already June and we’re almost halfway through the year; crazy, right?!

(L-R) Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in 642 Nude Delight, Aussie 3-in1 Miracle Conditioner, OPI Top Coat, Clinique Superpowder Double Face makeup in 06 Matte Tawny, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium, and VS Brilliant Lip Shine in Party Girl

Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion – I love this! It glides on the skin easily and feels super light for something that is super hydrating! I use it in my night time skincare routine to let my skin rest and soak in moisture after a long day.

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in 642 Nude Delight – I swear, this was sent from Heaven. This is the best nude lipstick I have ever come across. It’s the first nude lipstick I’ve ever purchased because other ones were always “too nude” and made me look dead, while Nude Delight has a bit of peach undertones. This is a great and highly affordable (around $6 including tax) for those with yellow undertones especially.

Aussie 3-in-1 Miracle Conditioner – I ran out of my Rejoice 3-in-1 conditioner, and since it is unavailable in the U.S i picked up this Aussie conditioner. Having died my hair twice in less than six months, my hair has become quite damaged. Whenever I use this my hair feels hydrated and healthy! ~and it smells amazing as well~

OPI Topcoat – I haven’t tried many topcoats before, but this definitely beats my ULTA brand topcoat I had received as a gift. That did absolutely nothing for my mani/pedi. But this OPI topcoat keeps my nail polish chip free and looking fresh for up to a week! ^_^

Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup in 06 Matte Tawny – As you can see from the picture, I’ve hit pan on this. I had originally meant to use this as an allover face setting powder, but the lady at the counter matched me to the wrong shade. Being the lazy person I am, I was too lazy to go exchange it and decided to try it out as a contour powder (since I was in need of a new one anyways). This is one of those moments were my laziness led to something good! I am in love with using this powder to contour; it’s matte so my face doesn’t look like a wonderful 70s disco ball.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium – This is my HG powder. I never set my BB cream or foundation unless I know I’ll be taking pictures and don’t want to shine on camera; so when I do set it, I use MSF. It’s lightweight and leaves a matte finish. While it is lightweight, the coverage is definitely buildable so it’s a lifesaver during the hot summer days! I just apply moisturizer with SPF, dab on a litter concealer, and set everything with this MSF and I’m good to go!

Victoria’s Secret Brilliant Lip Shine in Party Girl – I’ve had this for around 3 years and love the coral color. It is super shiny (hence the name) so just the tiniest amount is needed. I’ve been loving layering this on top of Nude Delight to give my lips a hint of color.

 ~Random Favorites~

This month I have 3 random favorites to share!

iPhone 4.s - I finally retired my old Samsung after three long years of watching my friends purchase iPhones. It feels so good to finally have my hands on a smartphone, let alone the iPhone 4.s! I’m not a huge game apps person, so I don’t have much to say about Temple Run, Tiny Tower, Angry Birds, etc…but I am obsessed with instagram! (username is romanticstephx3) I usually upload my daily foods on there, along with other randomness.

Dunkin’ Donuts Hazelnut coffee - I bought a bag of the grounds to brew my own coffee at home. Being out of school means I don’t drive past a Dunkin’ everyday and I thought, why not save the cost of buying coffee everyday and brew some at home?

My last and most favorite – favorite of the month is….

The King 2 Hearts - I haven’t invested so much time and emotion into a drama since Shining Inheritance, which I watched two years ago. I am going to dedicate one post to this kdrama because I love it so much, but let me just say….I was initially interested in this drama because of Lee Seung Gi, but ended up loving Jo Jung Suk’s character Eun Shi Kyung so much more; to the point of where I cried for 4 days straight after his character died and left Princess Jae Shin (Lee Yoon Ji) alone. I could go on forever about this drama so I’ll stop here. XD (fyi, currently listening to Love Hurts (아픈 사랑) from the OST)

Anyways, those were my May Favorites! Feel free to share yours in a comment and make sure to check out my May Favorites Video if you’d like!
